Nearly 100 U.S. and Philippine troops took part in a mock assault on a small island in energy-rich waters disputed with China on Wednesday (April 25), a drill Beijing had said would raise the risk of armed conflict. The exercises, part of annual U.S.-Philippine war games exercises on the western island of Palawan, coincide with another stand-off between Chinese and Philippine vessels near Scarborough Shoal in a different part of the South China Sea. China has territorial disputes with the Philippines, Vietnam, Brunei, Malaysia and Taiwan across the South China Sea, each searching for gas and oil while building up their navies and military alliances. China said last week the drill would raise the risk of confrontation. Officers who participated in the exercises said the drill with U.S. ...

Russian president Vladimir Putin watched parts of Zapad, which involved a scenario where a fictitious region of Belarus tried to break away with help from NATO. Russia has been modernizing is military for the past decade, at a time when trust with its western neighbors is at its lowest point since the Cold War. Col. Michael Foster, commander of the U.S. 173rd Airborne Brigade, said the exercises are "an absolutely unique opportunity for us" and "the way we are going to be fighting in the future." Georgia has aspirations of joining NATO and contributed troops to the NATO-led military operations in Iraq and Afghanistan. In the field exercise held Sunday on the Vaziani base outside the Georgian capital, troops simulated a mission to drive the enemy from a populated center and an airport. The exercises began May 11 with theoretical training and end on May 24. Sunday was the first day of field exercises. U.S. and Georgian troops simulate a combined attack on a building occupied by the ''enemy'' during joint military exercises in the South Caucasian republic. Huge military exercises are underway off and around Britain’s coast, but NATO insists they are not a deliberate response to the Russian military’s increasingly brazen behavior. The British-led war games are code named Joint Warrior and the numbers are all big: 13,000 personnel from 14 countries operating more than 50 ships and submarines as well as 70 aircraft. NATO says the planning started long before Russia renewed its status as the alliance’s chief adversary. For more than a year NATO has been condemning Russia’s actions in Ukraine as well as its frequent, large scale, snap military drills and those long-range Bear bombers repeatedly flying very close to NATO airspace. So, if Joint Warrior is not a deliberate response, it’s certainly a timely one. CNN was invited to spend a day aboard one of the vessels taking part — the U.S. Navy’s guided missile cruiser USS Vicksburg. It’s the current flag ship of a standing NATO maritime group. Commanding officer Rear Adm. Brad Williamson says Russia’s behavior is an added motivation to do well in these exercises. The latest in a series of provocative military exercises conducted by Baltic nations, Lithuania began a new drill on Wednesday. Modeled directly on the West’s imagined “invasion” of Crimea, the exercise is meant as a show of Vilnius flexing its muscles at Moscow, the Lithuanian president said. russia u.s. troops games "war games" game "united states" usa america "u.s. army" georgia georgian exercise training 2015 2016 military fight fighting national battle tanks land russian "eastern europe" europe european elite money cash paintball "air force" team partner partnership fighting agenda news media entertainment "battle tank" defense "self defense" euro "elite nwo agenda" trendy trends trending video footage alex jones infowars warning exposed jade helm 15 rothschild rothchilds documentary george soros bilderberg 2015 anonymous we are change david icke louis farrakhan daboo77 daboo777 montagraph “We will not allow ourselves to be taken easily,” Lithuanian President Dalia Grybauskaite told Reuters. “We try to learn from the Ukrainian and Crimean situation…We’re not fearing anybody,” she added, referencing the often cited, though never proven, allegation that Crimea’s reunification with Russia was the result of a military takeover. Lightning Strike is the latest escalation by President Grybauskaite, who has steadily been leading the charge in Baltic Russophobia. Having previously called Russia a terrorist state, she has reestablished her country’s military draft, inciting fears about “Russian aggression.” The Lithuanian government has also reportedly begun teaching citizens what to do in the event of war. Media outlets in Iran are reporting that Iran plans to participate in a war game with Russia, China and Syria in the near future and preparations will be carried out in the next few days. ShamLife said that China had gained permission to move twelve ships loaded with military equipment through the Suez Canal. The ships will reach the Syrian ports of Tartus and Latakia within two weeks, the website said. Russian amphibious landing ship, the Caesar Kunikov, departed the Black Sea port of Sevastopol on Tuesday for what a Black Sea Fleet officer explained was a routine exercise. British troops are also engaging in Estonia’s largest military exercise since its independence, which will involve over 7,000 reservists. British officials have stated that the war games are meant to reassure Baltic nations of its commitment to assist in the event of hostile “Russian aggression.”

A great video of the US Military putting on a show of force in military exercise. The United States Armed Forces are the military forces of the United States. CAMP CASEY, South Korea – For more than a month, Soldiers from the 210th Field Artillery Brigade, 2nd Infantry Division/ROK-U.S. Combined Division, trained alongside their joint and combined partners for their debut participation in the Republic of Korea Army’s Integrated Firepower demonstrations Aug. 7-28 near Pocheon, South Korea. The massive capability demonstrations were conducted for public viewing five times throughout the month and included a variety of assets from both the U.S. Army and Air Force. In addition to the tanks, helicopters and jets previously seen in the 2012 event, this year’s lineup showcased the brigade’s Multiple Launch Rocket Systems and Paladin self-propelled howitzers. “This is a unique opportunity for us because it allows us to practice with all elements of the Army alliance here in Korea,” said Maj. Elijah Ward, operations officer for 6th Battalion, 37th Field Artillery Regiment, whose battalion specializes in the MLRS platform. “This is an exercise where we can see what other units get to do, and we get to see how they all fit in the big picture.” Due to its unparalleled lethality, versatility and range, the U.S. Army has used the MLRS for nearly 27 years. The 210th Field Artillery Brigade maximizes its lethality with three dedicated MRLS battalions, all of which participated in the event. Success of the MLRS platform, in addition to working alongside their U.S. counterparts, has allowed the ROK Army to find the strategic value in the weapon’s utility and decided to use them for fire and counterfire operations within its own formations. “The MLRS is currently one of the strongest field artillery weaponry system,” said Lt. Col. Tae-Hun Kim, the battalion commander of 5000th Battalion, 5th Field Artillery Brigade, 6th Division. “It is a vital part of the defense of the Korean Peninsula.” “Even though it is our first time being in a part of the demonstration, but it is an honor to show our strength and procedures to the citizens of Republic of Korea,” added Kim. “Furthermore, participating this event with our sibling units made this exercise much more meaningful.” During the demonstrations, three launchers from each country’s Army shared tactical positions and targets. The ROK command post then received "call for fire" signal, which is then transferred to six MLRS crews simultaneously to fire at the same time, said Ward. Having successfully completed such an alliance-strengthening event with the ROK Army and spending every day for five weeks in the same compound with their ROK allies, the brigade’s crew members were able to establish a positive rapport and trust among their counterparts. In addition to reinforcing the mission essential skills of each Soldier, the brigade’s Soldiers educated themselves on the culture of the respective armies: How they think, operate and execute their missions. “There is something different when the Soldiers work and live next to each other,” said Ward. “It is this partnership that makes us strong. This exercise allows us to see that, we are partners in alliance.” In addition to firing the first U.S. rockets from the ROK range, troops also encountered a few more firsts, including the integration of live-fire exercises with multiple types of units among combined and joint partners. “In an artillery brigade, you only get to see artillery units,” said Ward. “We have learned a lot about how we use MLRS when we have troops maneuvering in proximal range and we have airplanes up in the sky.” Through maintaining and developing positive relationship between both field artillery units and their combined-joint partners, the alliance will be able to summon coordinated artillery fire power at any time of need. “I think the biggest thing here is establishing the relationship between ROK 5000th Battalion, and other maneuver units out here with our assets,” said Capt. Jason Yu, commander of Battery A, 6th Battalion, 37th FA Regiment, 210th FA Brigade, 2nd Infantry Division. “Seeing how it would look like in a coordinated scheme of maneuver. Learning about each other’s capabilities and movements out in the battlefield is the key component we learned so far.” “This exercise really demonstrates our capabilities in case of provocations from the north,” added Yu, a Chappaqua, New York, native. “It really shows the great firepower we have in defense of South Korea and how we operate together in the real environment.” Video Description Credit: Pfc. I think like them and try to use their tactics to see how they would try to come down south." 13. Various of US and South Korean soldiers taking part in exercises STORYLINE US and South Korean troops have been taking part in an annual joint military exercise codenamed "Foal Eagle" in which the forces practice repelling a North Korean invasion. The United States has already deployed an intimidating array of weaponry for the annual war games, including the aircraft carrier USS Carl Vinson and a wing of radar-evading stealth fighters. But underpinning the monthlong drills is the Korean Battle Simulation Centre (KBSC) in Seoul. At the centre, American and South Korean soldiers role-playing US and North Korean forces square off over keyboards 24 hours a day, plotting each other's destruction. Korean Air Force Major Koh Dae-sung said the drills, being conducted from a high-security building bristling with rows of computers, could help eliminate errors in times of crisis. Jude Shea, the retired US Army Lieutenant Colonel running the countrywide exercises, told journalists during a presentation on the cyber war games that the exercises were being conducted just as if it were the real thing. Another one-thousand computer operators at five nerve centres, including one in Virginia and another in Hawaii, are creating the war conditions that keep US and South Korean troops drilling in the field. And to further the effectiveness of the drills, soldiers playing the North Koreans read up on the North's military strategy and comb spy reports to front a realistic enemy. About 90 percent of the drills are conducted in cyberspace, with field commanders punching in their countermeasures to enemy attacks. But others are full-blown exercises, such as next week's amphibious beach assault by US and South Korean Marines backed by the carrier Vinson. Pyongyang says the military exercise amounts to war preparations, a claim it has made in past years. But the United States, which bases 37-thousand troops in South Korea, says the annual maneouvres are not related to new concerns about North Korea. Officers who participated in the exercises said the drill with U.S. troops was aimed at improving relations between the two countries. "We learned teamwork, established our friendship, enhanced our inter-operability, with our allies, the U.S. Marines," said Second Lieutenant Ferdinand Medina, Philippine Marines team leader in the assault drill. The Philippine troops' exercise director for naval forces events, said such a drill was routine. "This exercise is actually not in any way related to the incident that happened in Scarborough Shoal. It's a normal activity, conducted during Balikatan (Shoulder-to-Shoulder) Exercises, the aim of which is to enhance the inter-operability of both forces - the American forces and the Philippine forces," said Philippines Navy Captain Reynaldo Yoma. The U.S. Marines also denied that the exercises were a response to the recent stand-off. "Location (of the drill) is irrelevant. These exercises take place on a regular basis. This year it happens to be in Palawan. Speaking to my counterpart, here at the Marine Corps side, the planning for this took place months and months and months ago, prior to any events that are currently in the headlines," Ensign Bryan Mitchell, spokesman for the U.S. Marines, told reporters. The Spratlys are claimed entirely by China, Taiwan and Vietnam and in part by Malaysia, Brunei and the Philippines. China, which claims the South China Sea based on historical records, has sought to resolve disputes bilaterally but its neighbours worry over what some see as growing Chinese assertiveness in its claims in the region.

The U.S. and South Korea are conducting joint military exercises, drills the U.S. says are designed to “enhance readiness” and “maintain stability.” But what the U.S. deems defensive, North Korea calls provocative, with Pyongyang claiming the exercises are driving the Peninsula to war. The U.S Armed Force In Action! Massive Joint Military Exercises With South Korea yesterday began their annual joint Foal Eagle war games, which entail large-scale drills of land, sea and air forces over the next two months. The related Key Resolve, a largely-computer simulated exercise, will be conducted from March 13 to 23. Last year’s exercises, involving 300,000 South Korean troops and around 17,000 American military personnel backed by warships and warplanes, were billed as the largest-ever. While official figures have yet to be released, a US official in South Korea told the Nikkei Asian Review those numbers would be exceeded this year. U.S Armed Force In Action! Song: The Army Field Exercise, titled Azm-e-Nau-3, was held from 10 April to 13 May 2010. The field exercise involves troops belonging to all arms and services and also includes Pakistan Air Force. The exercise is a culmination of a long and deliberate process of war games, discussions and logistic evolution of the Concept of Warfare that is fully responsive to a wide menu of emerging threats. The exercise is a concept validation stage of the operational thought process manifested in the form of tactical, operational and organizational aspects which would be validated and refined through the lessons learnt. The process commenced with Army War Games named Exercise AZM-E-NAU-2, conducted in February 2010. It is prudent to note that Pakistan Army follows biennial training system, wherein, training objectives set forth are to be achieved over a span of two years. The training remains mission oriented based on the obtaining security environment. The training is methodical and progressive, culminating into Map Exercise / War games / field exercises at various levels of command. In the light of vision of Chief of Army Staff a comprehensive training package in the form of "Year of Training" in 2009-2010 was planned and now Pakistan Army is all set to go in the field to validate those concepts which were formulated during the "Year of Training". A special feature of this exercise would be harvesting the technological achievements advancement in intelligence gathering, surveillance, reconnaissance and communication means that have revolutionized warfare. These shall be optimally leveraged in the forth coming exercise. These capabilities are expected to act as force multipliers by reducing the fog of war for own troops, obviating enemy surprise and reducing own reaction time. All available surveillance and reconnaissance assets would be practiced / utilized in the exercise to validate their efficacy. http://www.VigorGroundFitness.com Battling Ropes are a great conditioning tool and they are a fun way to ad in some energy system work at the end of training sessions (or make them a full blow conditioning session in under 15 minutes). Do you really need to know 45+ variations? Nope. Just three will do but variety is the spice of life and who doesn't like to ad and try more challenging variations. If you make training fun then it's easier to make a habit. Pick and choose and start with 20 seconds of work, 40 seconds of rest - for 10 rounds (make sure you put in maximal effort in the 20 seconds). Some other interval times that work great. 15/15 15/20 20/20 30/30 10/10 10/20 If you make it too long of an interval then the quality and power goes down and it can become sloppy. Pick and choose and get to work! One of the most effective responses has been Fuerzas Comando, an inter-military and special ops exercise attended by forces from across North, Central, and South America. The goals of the event are to promote inter-military relationships, increase interoperability, and improve regional security. This year, military forces from 17 countries, ranging from Belize to the United States, came together for the exercises at one of Colombia's biggest military bases, Fort Tolemaida. While each country has their own set of security threats, they all share the need to boost and innovate their military capabilities. In this episode of War Games, VICE News travels to Colombia to attend Fuerzas Comando, and see how these countries are working together to learn how to better combat threats within and beyond their borders. NATO military officials were caught off guard by surprise guests as military exercises began in the Baltics last week — Russians. As U.S.-led exercises with Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia were under way, the Russian military began conducting its own training maneuvers. The Russian exercises included marines, paratroopers, and long-range bombers. Russia Today posted a video of the exercises on YouTube Wednesday. The NATO exercises, which included B-2 Spirit stealth bombers, were then operating in a crowded region rife with Russian Su-34 Fullback attack planes, A-50 AWACS aircraft, the short-range surface-to-air missile system SA-9-N Tor, Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) and other military hardware, the defense website The Aviationist reported Wednesday Read more: http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2014/jun/11/putin-stikes-back-russians-launch-surprise-war-gam/#ixzz34P2DFe5k Follow us: @washtimes on Twitter
